The EfLearn HR Hackathon 2026 (the "Hackathon") is organised by Eficaz HR Services Private Limited ("Eficaz", "we"), which runs the EfLearn platform at eflearn.eficazindia.com. Contact: info@eficazindia.com.
2. Free entry
2.1 Entry is free. No payment, purchase or subscription is needed to register, take part or win.
2.2 The optional Practice Pass (₹299 per person; ₹199 per login when a college buys 5 or more) is a separate practice product. Buying it does not affect eligibility, scoring, ranking or the chance of winning. It does not give access to any Hackathon question or content before the event. It is available only to registered participants and is valid until 20 December 2026, 11:59 PM IST, whatever the date of purchase.
3. Who can take part
3.1 The Hackathon is open to:
(a) HR professionals in any function, at any stage of their career;
(b) students of MBA-HR, PGDM-HR or any other HR-related programme; and
(c) HR aspirants: people who want to build a career in HR.
3.2 Participants must be residents of India and at least 18 years old on 20 December 2026.
3.3 Employees of Eficaz and their immediate family members, and anyone involved in preparing the Hackathon content, may not take part.
3.4 One entry per person. Each participant uses one EfLearn account, verified with their own mobile number. Duplicate or shared accounts may be disqualified.
4. Registration
4.1 Registration is on EfLearn (website or app), from 5 November 2026 until 30 November 2026, 11:59 PM IST. Eficaz may extend this date and will announce any extension on the platform.
4.2 Participants must give accurate details. Eficaz may verify them before declaring results.
4.3 To register, participants accept these terms and agree to the use of their details for the Hackathon (clause 11). Agreeing to receive marketing messages is optional and separate (clause 11.3).
4.4 Details can be edited until registration closes.
5. Date, time and format
5.1 The Hackathon runs online on Sunday, 20 December 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM IST. The lobby opens at 9:30 AM.
5.2 There are four rounds: Quick Case Studies (4 cases, 20 minutes), Real HR Cases (2 cases, 20 minutes), a KPI Case Study (10 questions, 20 minutes) and the HR Simulation (2 companies of 7 years each, 30 minutes each). Two timers are shown: one for the whole Hackathon and one for the current round.
5.3 Time saved in a round is added to the next round. All attempts close at 12:00:00 PM IST, whenever a participant started. Entry is allowed until 10:30 AM.
5.4 Each participant has one attempt. A completed round can't be reopened.
5.5 All companies, people and data in the Hackathon cases and simulations are fictional (including "RainTech Digital World"), except the Real HR Cases, which are based on publicly reported events.
6. Scoring and results
6.1 All scoring is done automatically on EfLearn's servers, using the scoring rules published on the Hackathon page before the event. Points: Round 1: 20, Round 2: 20, Round 3: 20, Round 4: 40 (20 per company); 100 in total, calculated to two decimals.
6.2 Ties are broken by, in order: the higher Round 4 score; the higher Round 3 score; the shorter total time taken.
6.3 Provisional results are shown after the Hackathon. Final results are announced by 23 December 2026, after the fair-play review (clause 7).
7. Fair play
7.1 The work must be the participant's own. Help from any other person, or the use of AI tools, chatbots or answer-sharing groups during the Hackathon, is not allowed.
7.2 EfLearn records attempt data (answers, timings, and switching away from the Hackathon screen) for fair-play review.
7.3 Before results are final, the top-ranked participants may be asked to join a short video call to explain their decisions, and to show photo ID.
7.4 Eficaz may disqualify a participant, or withhold or recover a prize, for breach of these terms, false information, or any attempt to manipulate the platform or the results.
8. Prizes
8.1 The prizes are:
| Place | Prize |
|---|---|
| 1st | ₹11,000 |
| 2nd | ₹5,000 |
| 3rd | ₹3,000 |
8.2 All prize amounts are inclusive of all applicable taxes. Tax deducted at source (TDS) will be deducted from the prize, as required by the income-tax law in force, and a TDS certificate issued. Winners are responsible for any further tax on the prize in their own returns.
8.3 To receive a prize, a winner must provide their PAN, an Indian bank account in their own name, and the identity proof Eficaz asks for, within 14 days of the final results. Prizes are paid by bank transfer within 30 days of receiving these details.
8.4 Prizes are personal and can't be transferred, exchanged or split.
8.5 If a winner is disqualified, or doesn't provide the details in time, Eficaz may award the prize to the next-ranked eligible participant.
8.6 Every participant who completes the Hackathon receives a certificate showing their score.
9. Technical issues
9.1 Participants are responsible for their own device and internet connection.
9.2 If EfLearn itself has a technical failure that materially affects the Hackathon, Eficaz may extend the time, re-run a round, exclude an affected round from scoring, or reschedule. Any such step will be announced on the platform.
10. Names, leaderboard and publicity
10.1 The leaderboard shows the display name each participant chooses in their EfLearn settings.
10.2 With the winner's consent, Eficaz may publish their name, college or organisation, city and photograph to announce the results.
11. Personal data
11.1 Personal data is handled under the EfLearn Privacy Policy and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
11.2 For the Hackathon. When registering, participants agree that Eficaz may use the details they give (name, mobile number, email, city and state, and their college, organisation and designation or HR area of interest) and their attempt data to run the Hackathon, check fair play, declare results, pay prizes, issue certificates and send messages about the event. This agreement is needed to take part. It ends when the purposes are complete. Prize and tax records are kept as long as the law requires.
11.3 Marketing (optional). Separately, participants may choose to receive information about EfLearn and Eficaz HR products, offers and events by email, WhatsApp and SMS. This is not required to take part and does not affect eligibility or scoring. It can be withdrawn at any time in EfLearn Settings, or by writing to info@eficazindia.com. Withdrawal doesn't affect messages already sent.
11.4 Eficaz keeps a record of each agreement (what was agreed, which version of these terms, and when).
11.5 Participants may ask to see, correct or erase their data by writing to info@eficazindia.com. Erasing it before results are final withdraws the entry.
12. App stores
Apple and Google are not sponsors of the Hackathon and are not involved in it in any way.
13. Changes and cancellation
Eficaz may change these terms or the schedule, or cancel the Hackathon, for reasons beyond its reasonable control. Any change will be announced on the platform before the event.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
